Natural home remedies for dandruff

1. Green tea treatment for your scalp

Green tea is high on antioxidants, vitamins, enzymes, amino acids. It is rich in catechins, which help to reduce dihydrotestosterone which is responsible for hair loss. As a result, green tea stops hair fall. It helps to fight dryness of the scalp and dandruff.


Ingredients:
  • Green tea
  • Peppermint essential oil
  • White vinegar
What you have to do
  • Boil a cup of water and add some of the green tea.
  • Mix 2-3 drops of peppermint essential oil.
  • Add a teaspoon of white vinegar to the mix and let it cool
  • Wet your hair and pour the green tea rinse through it.
  • Massage it on your scalp for five minutes, before rinsing it of with a mild sulphate-fee shampoo and conditioner.
  • After that take a hair wash

2. Neem leaves for dandruff removal

Neem is an effective herb to treat hair loss and dandruff. It has antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Neem is a best way to get rid of  dandruff. It helps the hair follicles to become stronger and also encourages hair growth.


Ingredients:
  • Neem leaves
What you have to do
  • Take two handfuls of neem leaves and put it in 4-5 cups of hot water
  • Next day strain the liquid and use it to rinse your hair. Also you can also try making a paste out of leaves.
  • Apply it to your scalp and let it sit for about an hour and wash it with water.

3. Apple cider vinegar for dandruff removal

Apple cider vinegar has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties helps to cure your scalp infections, dryness, itchiness and dandruff. Washing your hair with apple cider vinegar and shampoo rinse can do wonders to your hair and it helps to retain the pH level of your scalp and leaving you with soft, shiny and smooth hair.

  • Water
What you have to do
  • Dilute the vinegar with water in equal parts
  • Use this in the place of your shampoo

4. Coconut oil for dandruff removal

Coconut oil helps the scalp health to fight against problems like insect bites, lice and dandruff. Coconut oil moisturizes dry hair. Coconut oil adds luster, shine and softness to the hair. Coconut oil prevents hair breakage and split ends, contributes to hair length.

  • Coconut oil
  • Pure tea tree oil
What you have to do
  • Mix 5-10 drops of pure tea tree oil and 5 table spoons of coconut oil
  • Apply this mixture to your scalp and use it regularly.

5. Lemon Juice for dandruff removal

Lemons have multiple nutrients, such as citric acid, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, pectin, and flavonoids. Most of us are hesitate to put lemon in the hair because of myth that claim it turns your hair gray but that does not happen if you use it in moderation.


Ingredients
  • Lemon juice
  • Water
What you have to do
  • Massage 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice into your scalp and let it sit for a minute.
  • Mix 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 cup of water and rinse your hair with it.
  • Repeat daily until all your dandruff is gone

6. Curd hair mask

Curd boosts immunity, rich in protein, hydrates your scalp and fixes Frizzy hair. It helps to get rid of dandruff and makes your hair strong and also conditions your hair.


Ingredients:
  • Sour curd or yogurt
  • Mild shampoo
What you have to do
  • Take a small amount of curd and yoghurt and leave it open for a day
  • Apply the curd to your scalp as hair mask leave it on for an hour
  • Rinse it with mild shampoo.

7. Orange peels to condition your scalp

Orange peels has vitamin C and using it regular basis not only leaves your hair with a natural shine and bounce but, also improves the state of your mane internally. You can also treat various scalp-related issues by using the blend of olive oil, orange peel powder, and lemon juice. 


Ingredients:
  • Dry orange peels
  • Lemon Juice
  • Shampoo
What you have to do
  • Mix 3-4 dry orange peels with 5-6 tablespoons lemon juice in a mixer and keep it till forms a smooth paste.
  • Apply the paste to your scalp and leave it for 30 minutes
  • Rinse off with your usual shampoo

8. Baking soda for dandruff removal

Using baking soda on the hair keeps clean, shiny, and soft. Baking soda with water helps to get rid of the buildup of oils, soaps and hair care products. 


Ingredients:
  • Baking soda
  • Water
What you have to do
  • Get your hair wet, and rub a tablespoon of baking soda on your hair and scalp.
  • Leave it on for just a minute, and wash it off thoroughly. You can also use a mild shampoo to rinse the soda off your hair.
