7 tips to maintain healthy hair - Experts suggested

No matter what your hair texture, color, there is only thing all wants is that 'the hair that looks pretty and healthy'.

Now lets go on to how you can attain healthy hair.

1. Change the way of washing your hair

Many researchers say that women have changed their ways of washing the hair. One is over washing your hair can be damaging for your hair, especially if it is colored or bleached, it has been chemically treated or natural dry. When you wash your hair all the days in a week, it strips away natural oils from your scalp and proteins which will help your hair and scalp to stay healthy. So limit your hair wash to 2-3 times a week. Also it depends on your hair type. Always use mild shampoo for 
washing your hair.


2. Combing your hair

Usually, it is normal to lose 50 to 150 strands of hair a day. So don't when you have this range of hair loss. While you comb wet hair, comb it with extreme care because they are fragile and easily breakable. Take a broad toothed comb and run from the roots to the end of your hair gently.



3. Oil massage

In India, it traditionally followed to keep oil for their hair. But we have adapted to western culture we don't use oils now a days. It is better to use oil massage your scalp. It will improve blood circulation on your scalp and help to improve hair growth. Try to oil your hair at-least twice a week. 
It is not necessary to keep your hair oiled the whole day. It is enough to keep it for 1 or 2 hours with massage.


4. Protection

Hair can get damaged by both UV and heated tools, like straightens, tongs and hairdryer, so it’s important to give your hair protection. When drying your hair, make sure not to hold the hair dryer too close to your lengths, to prevent split, fluffy ends. 
Tips to protect your hair, wear a hat or scarf. Don't step out with oily and wet hair. Also you can use a hair sunscreen and always tie up your hair. At-least deep condition your hair once a week to cleanse your scalp completely.



5. Medication

Alway watch your medication before you take it. When you're asked to take medication, ask your doctor about the side effects on the hair. Or you can make a reasearch on the given medication and consult your doctor. Medications that are taken for cancer, blood pressure, heart disease, gout, and depression can cause hair loss. As we all our aware of the fact that one of the main side effects of chemotherapy is large scale hair loss, which continues even after the treatment is over.


6. Hormonal changes.

Hormonal changes also have an impact on losing hair line in women and men, even though the role of hormones in the pattern of female hair loss is less clear than the pattern of hair loss in males. In women, menopause, for example, can lead to thinning hair, though the hairline doesn’t always change. 

7. Nutrition and Stress

When your body doesn't have the required amount of nutrition, it starts to show the symptoms to warn that there’s something wrong with your diet. Hair loss is one of the symptom. Always have a healthy diet and help your body get required nutrition. When you're stress, try to relax yourself by doing exercise, meditation, dancing, playing etc. Because stress also have big impact on your hair problems. Maintain your stress levels.
